Phasing Out U.F.O. and U.F.O. LUXE

Both products have now been discontinued and will not be restocked once the remaining stock has sold.

Why are U.F.O. and U.F.O. LUXE being discontinued?

U.F.O. and U.F.O. Luxe came from an earlier stage of the Eckco® story.

Before the range became the much more focused collection it is today, we experimented with a considerably broader selection of products, ingredients and formulas. There were different balms, cleansers, beard oils, face oils and plenty of ideas being tested along the way.

U.F.O. was part of that experimentation.

U.F.O. Luxe followed with a different take on the same idea, using botanical absolutes alongside the face oil base.

There was nothing wrong with either product. They were part of the process that helped us work out where we wanted Eckco® to go.

A different direction

From early 2025, our approach began shifting towards a much more pared-back way of making products.

Rather than continuing to add different formulas and variations to the range, we became more interested in what happened when we took things away.

Shorter formulas. Fewer extras. Shared botanical bases. A clearer reason for every ingredient to be there.

That direction eventually became a much bigger part of Eckco® and the products we make today.

U.F.O. and U.F.O. Luxe no longer fit that direction closely enough to remain part of the permanent range.

What happens to the remaining stock?

Any remaining U.F.O. and U.F.O. Luxe stock will continue to be available until it is sold.

Once the remaining stock is gone, neither product will be restocked.

If you’ve used U.F.O. or U.F.O. Luxe before, this means that the current products won’t be replaced with another batch of the same formula.

What comes next?

We are working on a new face oil that follows the more minimal direction of the current Eckco® range.

It will be built around the same Kawakawa, Mānuka and Calendula botanical infusion used across selected Eckco® products, with a small number of additional plant oils.

The new formula will not be a rebranded U.F.O. or U.F.O. Luxe. It is a new formula developed from the direction Eckco® has taken since those products were created.

We’ll share the full ingredient list, product details and launch timing once everything is ready.

Why we’re making the change

Part of becoming more focused as a brand means being willing to let some products go.

Not every product needs to stay forever, and an older formula doesn’t have to have been a mistake for us to decide that something else fits the direction better.

U.F.O. and U.F.O. Luxe were part of Eckco®’s evolution.

Now we’re taking what we’ve learned from them and carrying that forward into the next face oil.

They are discontinued; remaining stock will be sold until it runs out, and there won’t be another production run.

The next Eckco® face oil will be announced separately when it’s ready.
