Skin Barrier Balm

An uncomplicated, fragrance‑free balm for dry, rough or easily irritated skin. The base is a minimal plant‑derived wax and oil blend, infused with Kawakawa, Mānuka and Calendula. No shea or mango butter. The result is a balm that glides on easily, melts in smoothly and leaves the skin feeling soft and comfortable. No heavy or greasy residue.

How it feels

On the skin, it feels rich but light. Silky. It melts in fast and does not leave a heavy feel. It works well on its own as part of a minimal routine, or with other products if you use them.

Product colour – seasonal variance

Because Eckco formulas are crafted with natural ingredients, subtle variations in colour may appear from batch to batch. This is a natural characteristic of working with plant‑based materials and cold‑pressed oils.

How to use

  1. Use a small amount on clean, dry (or slightly damp) skin.
  2. Warm between your fingers.
  3. Press or massage gently over the area that needs care; reapply as needed, especially on very dry or exposed areas.

Patch test recommended: Perform a patch test on a small area of skin 24 hours before full use.

Storage

Yes. Skin Barrier Balm has no added fragrance or essential oils. It contains 0.1% vanilla extract as part of the formula. It smells faintly earthy and softly sweet, with gentle honey‑like notes from the Kawakawa, Mānuka and Calendula infusion. Nothing strong. Nothing perfumed.

Who is Skin Barrier Balm for?

Skin Barrier Balm is for dry, rough or easily irritated skin on face and body. Use it on hands, elbows, knees, heels and other dry areas. It is also a fragrance‑free option for anyone who prefers plant‑based skin care.

What makes it different from a standard lotion?

Skin Barrier Balm is waterless. It is made with a minimal plant‑derived wax and oil base rather than a water‑based lotion. It is firm in the tin, then softens between your fingers and melts onto the skin.

Does it contain beeswax or animal‑derived ingredients?

No. Skin Barrier Balm is plant‑based and contains no beeswax or animal‑derived ingredients. It uses candelilla wax.

Does it contain shea butter or mango butter?

No. Skin Barrier Balm is made without shea butter or mango butter.

Why does a little go a long way?

The balm is waterless and concentrated, so a small amount is usually enough. Start with a pea‑sized amount, warm it between your fingertips, then apply where you need it.

How do I apply Skin Barrier Balm?

Warm a small amount between your fingertips, then smooth it onto clean skin. You can also apply it while skin is still slightly damp after washing or showering. Use it on face or body, wherever skin feels dry or rough.

Will it leave a greasy finish?

Skin Barrier Balm is rich but easy to spread. It melts in smoothly and leaves skin feeling soft and comfortable, without a heavy or greasy residue.

How is Skin Barrier Balm different from Skin Support Balm?
